December Update

Mud, glorious mud.
Hi folks,
Thanks very much for sponsoring me – here’s just a quick update on my progress.
I’ve now been running 10 times and I’ve built up to 3 miles. I’ve run in the cold, the rain and the wind. I think there might be something with my head, I’ve started getting this weird happy feeling after I’ve run.  Perhaps I’m going mad. :-)
I’m in Portugal for the next week and I’m taking my running gear as I have another three short runs (approx 3miles) planned before attempting an 8mile run the first week in Jan.  It’s a big step up in mileage and that will be my second big hurdle.
There will be another update to follow, probably around the end of Jan.  In the meantime, have a look at the attached photo after my first outside run where the path got a bit muddy.  This day last year it was my last day in hospital of a 10 week stay and I weighed 9.5 stone. (I’m 6’1” for the record). I’m now 12.5 stone and I’m hoping these legs will be able to do 26.2 miles in April but right now, they don’t look like they can!
Merry Christmas and I wish you all a happy, healthy and prosperous 2015.
cheers
Brian
